Classless Keith Olbermann, possibly in an attempt to garner any kind of publicity for his sinking ship of a show “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” on MSNBC, took a heavy weight style cheap shot at former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez. Sanchez had issued a formal apology earlier in the day for his poor choice of words during a September 30, 2010 , interview on the “Stand up! With Pete Dominick Show” on SIRUIS Radio, saying:
“On October 4th, I had a very good conversation with Jon Stewart, and I had the opportunity to apologize for my inartful comments from last week. I sincerely extend this apology to anyone else whom I may have offended.”
Apparently this was not good enough for Olbermann who for the second time in three days tapped Sanchez with “Worser” status on his show (Can you say infatuated). Olbermann nit-picked Sanchez’s apology, because (I am not making this up) Sanchez wrote, “I sincerely extend this apology to anyone else whom I may have offended.” According to Olbermann this statement did not rise to the level of an apology and as far as he was concerned an apology was still due.
While even Jon Stewart took the high-road during Monday’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, saying he believed Sanchez had, “a good heart,” Olbermann obviously has some strong resentment toward Sanchez, possibly carried over from his MSNBC days.
Olbermann called Sanchez anti-Semitic and stated Sanchez’s next step should be a real apology. Is it me, or has this cartoon character of an anchor lost his mind? While Stewart did his part to mend fences on his show, and others such as Fox Commentator Bernie Goldberg (who happens to be Jewish) stated Sanchez should not have been fired for his comments, Olbernamm apparently was so shaken by Sanchez’s comments that he can’t bring himself to accept his apology.
Let me answer my own question: Yes, the cat has lost his marbles!

When you're tired, what comes out of your mouth are unfiltered thoughts. His words didn't come from nowhere; they came from the most automated part of his brain. The apology was a non-apology. Sanchez is still trying to hawk his book.
