|CNN President Ken Jautz|
CNN President Ken Jautz has a lot of explaining to do. Although 16% of the
population is Hispanic, the cable news network does not have one Hispanic anchor on it’s staff after the unceremonious severing of ties with former anchor Rick Sanchez. When Sanchez committed the immortal sin of inferring that network news was run by people like Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart on Sirius Radio’s "Stand Up! with Pete Dominick” he was immediately canned. Bear in mind the network did everything it could to keep Lou Dobbs on the air even after numerous complaints from Hispanics, and many vicious comments against Latinos. US
So now the ball is in Ken Jautz’s corner. It’s time to choose a token Hispanic anchor, but who will it be? Trust me when I say whoever they hire will be pure vanilla. CNN likes outspoken anchors, just not the Hispanic kind. I guarantee you the next Hispanic new hire, which will happen fairly quickly now that the spotlight is on, will be a boring teleprompter reader.
Come on Ken, work your Latino magic.
I will keep you all posted!
